Right after my trip to Big Sky, Montana, I flew off to Taos, New Mexico for my next plein air trip. This time, my husband Don, joined me along with Larry and Pam Smith, owners of the 2Smith Gallery in Duluth, GA, and artist Charles Cashwell, his fabulous wife and amazing cook, Rebecca Cashwell, artists Ed Cahill and Kendall Portis, and painter extraordinaire, John Traynor with his wonderful wife, Liz.
We all stayed in a big, beautiful historic adobe hacienda that dates back to the 1790’s. Completely modernized but has that old world feel.
Even got to play golf at the Taos Country Club! What a fun and beautiful course!
John Traynor gave an oil demonstration. I just love watching him paint!
Plans are already made for next year’s trip! It is so great to be able to take time to travel and paint! My 2 favorite things to do!!
On the way home, Don and I stopped in San Luis The Shrine of Stations of the Cross Church, way up on a hill.
Here is my rendition …..
